Enjoy magnificient views of the Wetar Straight including mangroves, white sand beaches, marble rock beaches, passing through various seaside fishing villlages and rice fields. Lunch in a local restaurant in Baucau before continuing the drive east along the coast, passing through fishing villages and communities such as Laivai and Lautem. Lautem has some of the most beautiful beaches on the island with soft white sand and crystalline water. Its charm is partly due to its unspoiled wilderness as the craggy mountains reach the Caribbean-like coastline. This area is known for its caves whose walls are engraved with cave drawings. Then we’ll continue through the towns of Lautem climbing north up to Rasa, plains of Mehara (Iralalaro Lake) into Tutuala as we head towards the coast. We’ll arrive at Pousada Tutuala in time to relax and explore this Town before dinner.
